International Dementia Excellence Awards
The International Dementia Excellence Awards are designed to recognise organisations and individuals who have worked to improve the quality of life of people with dementia.
The awards celebrate the important work being undertaken to support people with dementia internationally and are a celebration of innovation and good practice.
We are delighted to host these awards for the first time in Australia.
The awards will be presented during the ‘Risky Business’, International Dementia Conference, in Sydney in June 2012. The award ceremony will take place on the evening of the 28th June 2012 at a drinks and canapés reception. The conference is aimed at all those who support people with dementia, including doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health professionals, service commissioners, inspectors, planners/architects, paramedics, housing organisations, the police, faith leaders, voluntary and private sector staff and people with dementia. This drink and canapés event will celebrate the best in dementia care with awards under the following categories:
- Dementia and the Arts
- Life Engagement
- Employee of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Researcher(s) of the Year
- Dementia Design Innovation of the Year
- Risky Business
Tickets for the awards are $90 for conference delegates and $150 for non-delegates, prices are in Australian dollars.
