Laura's 17 in 2017 challenges #8

This month I finally managed to do a hill walk. Unfortunately, the bad weather kept affecting the plan to do Ben Lomond, but I did part of the West Highland Way instead.

So, with a couple of pals and the dogs, we walked from Drymen to Balmaha, climbing Conic Hill on the way. The route was 8 miles and had quite a few challenging spots! However, it was a great feeling once we reached the top and got back to Balmaha for a celebratory picnic!

In an effort to keep up my training, I have also joined a running club this month. It has been great running with the team so hopefully it will help me out for the next couple of challenges. I am also looking at another swimming and a cycling challenge so will be hitting the training hard next month for that.

I am also delighted to say I reached my donation target of £1000! I can’t believe how generous people have been and the continued support has really kept me going.
