This month I took on a Golf Challenge with my dad.
Golf is a big sport in our family and so I thought I would give it a go. I started by hitting 100 balls at the driving range, then onto practicing making PAR on a hole. It was much tougher than I thought it would be, and a lot of muscles hurt the next day which I didn’t know existed! My dad was my pro for the day giving me lots of pointers, and I’m not sure what he was more embarrassed about my golf skills or my outfit!
With Challenge 9 done, and me over the halfway mark, I then went onto Challenge 10, the Dog Jog. I was up early on another Sunday morning to make my way to Edinburgh with the dog to take part in a 5K run around the city. It was a great morning and all the dogs had a great time! Daisy especially was delighted with her “doggy bag” and medal she got at the end. I however, felt the pain of not having run for a few weeks after being on holiday, and with a few bigger challenges coming up in the next few months the panic has set in.
Now the holidays are done, its right back to the training ready for the last 7 challenges. Can’t believe how many I have got through already, seems like quite a while ago since running in the snow in January!
