Launch of virtual dementia-friendly hospital

On Tuesday 5th November, Angela Rippon will launch our new virtual dementia-friendly hospital during a seminar at The Design Council.

Good design can make an acute hospital setting dementia-friendly.  Modern acute hospitals are busy, noisy dangerous places for people with dementia.  Based on research and 25 years of influencing design of buildings and communities, the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) has created tools that will assist planners, commissioners and clinicians in making the best of existing buildings and embedding essential dementia friendly ideas in new buildings.
