Research demonstrates that housing staff have a vital role to play in enabling people with dementia living at home to live well within their communities. Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and increase confidence in understanding the main issues which tenants find stressful whilst living with dementia in various environments.
Particular emphasis is placed upon stressful situations which can lead to "distressing behaviour”.

- Staff who occupy roles which require them to have the knowledge, capability, skills and abilities required to support people with dementia living at home or in supported accommodation at an enhanced level of understanding
For housing and care staff requiring a good knowledge of dementia care. Provides a foundation for staff to progress to the ‘Housing Care and Support for People with Dementia: 1 Day Enhanced learning programme’.
