Best practice in dementia care for domiciliary care staff |
There can be no more important therapeutic relationship than that which exists between the person with dementia and the person who delivers their care and support. Our best practice courses have been specifically constructed to encourage care staff to focus on seeing an individual person with his or her needs, whilst promoting dignity and respect. This study course is being developed to help home care workers to improve their support of the person with dementia and their families. This course will inspire genuine reflection and will influence personal practice. The new knowledge and understanding of best practice in dementia care will increase staff confidence, achieving a sense of self-worth within the care team.
This course will be launched in September 2011. Click here to register your interest for further information on this course. |
