Our Projects

The Dementia Services Development Centre commissions and undertakes a wide variety of innovative dementia-related projects. These range from multi-disciplinary regional dementia projects to projects for those working in home care and dementia care practice. The DSDC also works closely with a variety of organisations, including the Scottish Voluntary Sector, to improve the lives of people with dementia. An example of this collaborative style of working is evidenced in the Caring Memories life story book project.

Our Design Audit Tool and Design Audit Certificate provide ways of evaluating and promoting the level of dementia-friendly design in your care home, day centre ward or medical centre. Click on the specific dementia projects for more information. Alternatively, contact our team of dementia experts to find out more about any of these projects and tools which actively help to improve dementia care.
