Laura Paton is taking part in 17 events during 2017 to raise money for the Dementia Services Development Trust. Here is Laura's fourth and fifth updates:
This month I attempted two challenges, the Kilt Walk and Helensburgh 10k.
Challenge 4 was the Kilt Walk and what a fantastic day we had. We were so lucky to have the good weather and all our cheer squads who came out to encourage us, so thank you to them. The biggest thank you has to go to the team; Mum, Dad, Sarah, Louise, Tony, Eilidh, Steph and Maddy. Thank you for joining me on the 23 mile journey, couldn't have done it without you all keeping me going!
Challenge 5, the Helensburgh 10k, was two days later, which in hindsight maybe wasn’t the best idea, however I managed it! I wasn't the fastest, but I wasn't the last...almost. The route even went past my Grans old care home which was quite hard to run past. It brought a tear to my eye but reminded me what all this was for! Again, I had all the family out to cheer me on!
Luckily, I have a wee bit of a break before the next challenges!
Thanks to everyone who has already donated to the JustGiving page and supported me.
