Changing the Culture of Dementia Care

Services that support people living with dementia face similar obstacles when trying to create change within their organisations.

How can we recruit, retain and develop quality staff?

How can we come together to create networks or communities of support?

How can we evaluate and evidence the positive changes in our services?

We all know that dementia is a national priority and that the number of people living with dementia increases every year, but how are we responding to this need across all service provision and within our communities to address the issues that prevent us from moving forward? How can we help each other to be more effective?

DSDC would like to support your services to make the changes needed to bring your organisation in line with the national and local dementia strategies, and address the obstacles you face for making change.

We are hosting information days across the UK. This is an ideal opportunity to network across a wide range of care service providers and to look at ways of supporting one another and working together.  Find out more about how the DSDC can provide professional development for you and your colleagues and build your confidence and competence in working with and supporting people affected by dementia.
