Laura Paton is taking part in 17 events during 2017 to raise money for the Dementia Services Development Trust. Here is Laura's first update:
January has seen me attempt challenge number 1 of 17…5k a day for a month!
I struggled with the dark mornings, winter weather, and my fitness level being at zero, but I did it!
I either walked or ran 5k every day, with the help of Daisy the dog, and some friends and family. The support from everyone has been so encouraging. Most people think I am mad – but if anything, now I have Challenge 1 out the way I am so motivated to do the remaining 16!

The Dementia Services Development Trust (DSDT) works to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers. It does this through funding the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC), which it has done for over 25 years. DSDT is a charity administered by trustees independent of both DSDC and the University.
