Helps to grow the confidence, knowledge and skills that make a difference to people with dementia
Training and education at DSDC helps grow the confidence, knowledge and skills that make a difference to people with dementia, improve professional practice and enhance careers. DSDC can deliver the right training and education whether you are: a family carer; volunteer; staff working in primary care, acute care, housing, social care, voluntary sector; a design professional; or a commissioner of dementia services.
- One and two day courses covering a wide range of current topics. See the Training Directory and Forthcoming Events for examples. All courses are run at our training facilities in Stirling, however they can also be run at a venue of your choice should you have a number of staff you would like to train.
- Specialist workshops – including workshops for family carers and volunteers.
- Degree courses – with online modules and full Undergraduate and Postgraduate study at the University of Stirling
- Seminars and conferences, including the International Masterclass and Dementia and Ageing Research Seminar.
With experience delivering in-house training across the UK and Internationally, DSDC is also able to work with you to design and deliver in-house training to meet specific needs or issues, whether as part of organisational programmes or as stand-alone events. DSDC can tailor an existing training programme to fit your needs, or work with you to create something more specialised.
