DSDC Design Assoicates, Australia
The University of Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsty Bennett, Debbie De Fiddes and Terri Preece as Design Associates to the DSDC Design Team; a multi-disciplinary team of architects, engineers and designers with specialisms in dementia design.
The appointment comes after a successful number of years of DSDC working in Australia, supporting clients such as Life Care, Marchese Partners International, O’Neill Architects and Retire Australia to deliver upon their dementia-design aspirations.
Lesley Palmer, Chief Architect at DSDC, said:
“We are honoured to welcome Debbie, Kirsty and Terri into the DSDC team. They each have an extensive portfolio of work in the field of dementia and ageing design both in practice and academia. This includes advising on Australian aged care policy and best practice, developing dementia design assessment toolkits, training, and the design and construction of aged-care developments. After 30 years of dementia design at DSDC the time has come for us to establish local roots in the countries where we are working.”
“Evoke Collective Australasia is passionate about contributing to positively changing the way older people, especially those living with dementia live meaningfully in their environments and therefore it is with great excitement that we join the DSDC team. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
