It’s Giving Tuesday—Support People Living with Dementia Today

It’s here—Giving Tuesday has arrived! For the next 36 hours, we’re rallying together to support causes close to our hearts. The Stirling community is uniting to improve the lives of people living with dementia, along with their families and carers—and The Dementia Fund is at the heart of it all.

You might already know about the incredible work being done through the Dementia Services Development Centre’s (DSDC) free dementia education workshops, but did you know that The Dementia Fund can make it all possible? These vital free workshops provide essential support to families, carers and volunteers, helping them:

·       Gain practical skills and knowledge to support loved ones living with a dementia.

·       Understand dementia and the implications of a diagnosis.

·       Understand communication and changes in presentation to improve care.

·       Prevent stress, distress, and crisis situations, such as unnecessary hospital admissions.

·       Manage common symptoms for people living at home.

·       Build supportive networks with fellow carers through shared experiences.

·       Meet local organisations that can support them in their role.

Your generosity can allow us to keep these workshops running, and with your support, we can continue providing these free life-changing resources to those who need them most.

Every Gift Makes a Difference This Holiday Season

Consider making a regular gift today to help us reach more people in our communities who need it most. By making a gift—no matter the size—you’ll ensure these workshops continue to change lives.
