Manufacturers

Well-designed products and spaces can increase independence and quality of life for older people and people with dementia. As our population ages, products and spaces will play a greater role in maintaining independence and health.

DSDC has been working with manufacturers and the design industry for decades and has a wealth of experience working with organisations to support their project requirements. We do this through:

  • Product Accreditation

Using the latest research, DSDC assesses products to determine their suitability for people with dementia. A product accreditation can help specifiers and designers select products which adhere to dementia design principles.

  • Consultancy

Our specialised team can work with you throughout your project to support you in creating an environment supportive of an ageing population and people living with dementia. DSDC’s consultancy is designed to be flexible to fit your requirements and includes the option of design charrettes.

  • Training

DSDC has created a range of training courses and events focusing on general aspects of dementia and care through to more specialised areas, including dementia design. Our design courses are available online for you to learn at a pace that suits you. Every training course is underpinned by research and delivered by our experienced team. DSDC is also able to work with organisations to deliver bespoke training sessions that meet their specific requirements.
